Lucy Burrows recognised in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 2024

Lucy Burrows has today been recognised in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 2024, an annual list of most innovative and dynamic individuals from across the legal profession. It has been more than ten years since a clerk has won a place on the Hot 100 list, making Lucy’s achievement all the more accomplished.

Lucy’s inclusion in the list is related to her work in recent years to improve diversity and retention at the Bar; in particular, her involvement in the publication of the in Workplace Survey Report in December 2023, the first report of its kind that addresses the working lives of chambers’ staff.

She also sits on numerous committees, including as Chair of the IBC’s Chambers & Social Committee and is also responsible for the management of the Institute’s mentoring scheme.

In 2023, Lucy won the award for ‘Unsung Hero in a Leadership Role’ at the inaugural Women & Diversity in Law Awards, in recognition of her work to make the profession more diverse and inclusive.
