Lucy Burrows wins Women & Diversity in Law Award

We are very proud to announce that our Deputy Senior Clerk, Lucy Burrows, was named Unsung Hero in a Leadership Role at last night’s Women & Diversity in Law Awards. These awards serve to recognise exceptional individuals making the UK legal profession more diverse and inclusive.

As well as her busy clerking role at 3VB, Lucy holds multiple roles in the wider legal community. She sits on the Bar Council’s Wellbeing at the Bar Working Group and Middle Temple’s Talent Retention Scheme. She is Chancery Secretary to the Institute of Barristers’ Clerks and sits on its Executive Committee, as well as running its mentoring sub-committee.

More recently, Lucy was involved in the organisation of the ‘Meet the Female Arbitrators’ networking event, organised by the ERA Pledge Young Practitioners’ Subcommittee, Corporate Subcommittee, Bar Subcommittee and USA Subcommittee of the Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge.

Chambers and Partners describe Lucy as being, “…consistently excellent”; “…able to think outside the traditional barrister role and adaptable” and “…efficient and a pleasure to deal with.”

The members and staff at 3VB join together in congratulating Lucy and thank her for her valued service to Chambers.
