3VB Co-Sponsors The Promise of Hybrid Dispute Resolution Fora Conference

3 Verulam Buildings is co-sponsoring HBKU’s “The Promise of Hybrid Dispute Resolution Fora” conference in Doha on 18th – 19th November. Speaking at the event will be 3VB’s associate members, Professor Stavros Brekoulakis and Sir William Blair, along with 3VB’s Ali Malek QC.

Professor Stavros Brekoulakis will be chairing the “Hybrid Dispute Resolution Fora: Jurisdiction, Applicable Law and Enforcement of Judgments” discussion, joining him on the panel will be Sir William Blair, whilst Ali Malek QC will be speaking at “A Historical and Contextual Perspective to Hybrid Dispute Resolution” panel.

The purpose of this conference is to discuss the rationale behind the creation of domestic “international” courts, and to analyse the relationship between these new fora and more established forms of dispute resolution, such as ordinary domestic courts, arbitration and mediation.

Professor Stavros Brekoulakis and Sir William Blair will also be on the panel of conclusions and general discussions to close the conference.
