3VB welcomes two new tenants

Members and staff at 3VB are pleased to welcome Raphaël Tulkens and Jagdish Menezes as full tenants of Chambers, following the successful completion of their pupillage.

During their time as pupils, Raphaël and Jagdish have gained experience across a broad range of matters spanning 3VB’s core practice areas, including commercial litigation and international arbitration. They have worked alongside and been supervised by a number of members of Chambers, developing their experience across a diverse range of complex commercial disputes.

Raphaël is building a broad commercial practice, with particular interests in international arbitration, arbitration-related court proceedings, conflict of laws and public international law. Before coming to the Bar, he served as Judicial Assistant to Lord Leggatt at the UK Supreme Court and Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, and previously practised as a solicitor in the International Arbitration group at Shearman & Sterling LLP (now A&O Shearman) in London.

Jagdish brings extensive experience of complex international disputes, having spent 11 years in the London office of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP, latterly as Of Counsel. He has acted in a wide range of commercial and investment treaty arbitrations (including conducting advocacy) as well as litigation before the English courts and cross-border litigation, including for the enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards. Prior to moving to the Bar, he had been a Solicitor-Advocate with Higher Rights of Audience (Civil) and has been admitted as an advocate by the Bar Council of India.

We are very pleased that Raphaël and Jagdish will now continue their careers at 3VB as members of Chambers and congratulate them both on completing their pupillage.
