Adam Temple gives evidence to the House of Lords Digital Assets Bill Committee
13 December 2024
Adam Temple of 3VB has given evidence on behalf of Combar to the Special Public Bill Committee on the Property (Digital Assets etc) Bill, alongside Matthew Hoyle at One Essex Court.
Adam was one of the authors of Combar’s response to the Law Commission on its proposed bill, and was asked questions about the potential benefits and risks of the Bill from a practitioner’s perspective. He suggested that the Bill might be seen to prejudge issues that were best left to be developed by the common law, and would bring with it risks of unintended consequences.
The session can be viewed here, with Adam’s evidence from 11.43.
