Ali Malek QC Appointed as Chairman of the Lloyd’s of London Enforcement Board

On 21st October 2021, Ali Malek QC began his term as Chairman of the Lloyd’s of London Enforcement Board, following the departure of Lord Carlile of Berriew CBE QC.

The LEB is a Special Committee which serves under the Council of Lloyd’s, the body responsible for the management and supervision of the Lloyd’s Market.

The Council discharges some of its functions directly by making decisions and issuing resolutions, requirements, rules and byelaws. Other decisions are delegated to committees of the Council and the members of the Executive Committee, in accordance with their respective terms of reference.
