Practice Overview

Ashrutha joined Chambers as a pupil in October 2024. She has previously worked as a Judicial Fellow and Associate Legal Officer at the International Court of Justice and as a Judicial Clerk at the Supreme Court of India.

Ashrutha holds a dual Bachelor of Law and Arts (Honours) from the National Law School of India University, Bangalore and a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School, where she was a Cogan Scholar. She is in the final stages of completing a PhD in public international law at the University of Cambridge. Ashrutha has taught public international law to undergraduate and postgraduate students at the University of Cambridge. She was on the editorial team of the Harvard International Law Journal and was Managing Editor of the Cambridge International Law Journal. She was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2024 and admitted as an advocate by the Bar Council of India in 2017.
