Practice Overview
Bernd joined Chambers as a pupil in September 2026.
He completed his B.A. Law at Cambridge (First Class) and Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) from the University of Oxford. He received the Jardines Scholarship for his undergraduate studies and won academic prizes (One Chancery Lane Prize for Tort). He represented both institutions at international mooting (Jessup Moot, Willem C. Vis Moot) and debating competitions (World University Debating Championships). He also spent significant time volunteering (Anti-Slavery Initiative Oxford, CULS Amicus Missouri Project).
Bernd completed his Bar Vocational Studies (Distinction) as a major scholarship holder of Inner Temple.
Having lived in both Singapore and Hong Kong, Bernd is fluent in English and Mandarin and speaks conversational Cantonese.
