Practice Overview

Fraser joined 3 Verulam Buildings as a pupil in September 2025.

Before starting pupillage, Fraser practised as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand and worked for two years as a judicial assistant at the High Court of New Zealand. Fraser specialised in commercial litigation. He has experience with commercial fraud, insolvency, professional negligence, and general commercial litigation. Fraser has appeared in New Zealand both led and un-led on commercial matters, and has represented the Crown as a criminal prosecutor at first instance and on appeal.

Fraser holds a first class Master of Laws from the University of Cambridge, where he studied Advanced Private Law, Law of Restitution, Legal History, and Corporate Insolvency Law. He also holds an LLB(Hons) degree from the University of Auckland, where he finished within the top 3.5% of his cohort and won subject prizes in Company Law, Evidence, and Maritime Law. Fraser represented the University of Auckland in three international moots, and finished runner up in the de Smith moot at the University of Cambridge.

Fraser has also worked, alongside his New Zealand roles, as a Graduate Teaching Assistance at the University of Auckland. He was responsible for small-group tutorials in various papers and the marking of Company Law exam scripts.
