Practice Overview
Max joined Chambers as a pupil in September 2026.
In the year before pupillage, Max was the Judicial Assistant to Lord Justice Phillips and Lord Justice Warby in the Court of Appeal, where he worked on a range of commercial appeals.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Max graduated with a First-Class degree in History from New College, Oxford, where he also gained an MSt in Medieval History.
Max completed the GDL at City University, ranking first in his cohort. He obtained a Distinction in the Bar Course as a Sir Thomas More Scholar of Lincoln’s Inn. He also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at City, where he taught contract law.
