Call: 2024
Practice Overview
Rose joined Chambers as a tenant in October 2025 following successful completion of her pupillage. She has experience across Chambers’ areas of expertise, with a particular interest in general commercial disputes, insurance, and cryptoasset disputes. Rose accepts both unled instructions and those as part of a wider counsel team.
Before coming to the Bar, Rose worked at the Law Commission as a Research Assistant on the “Digital assets and electronic trade documents (ETDs) in private international law: which court, which law?” project, with a focus on the digital assets side of the project. Prior to this, Rose worked as a Barrister’s Assistant at Brick Court Chambers where she assisted on a range of high-value advisory and contentious commercial matters including a share valuation trial in the Cayman Islands and hearings in the High Court, Court of Appeal and Competition Appeal Tribunal.
Since commencing practice, Rose has been instructed on various matters both led and unled, including:
- The Bath Racecourse litigation, including Supreme Court appeal (ongoing): Seeking to overturn the Court of Appeal’s decision that ‘furlough’ payments during the Covid-19 pandemic constitute a saving under the insured’s business interruption insurance policy, and in relation to matters arising from the second trial of preliminary issues. Acting for the Insured, led by Adam Kramer KC and William Day.
- A high-value reinsurance dispute (ongoing): Proceedings seeking declaratory relief in relation to a contract of reinsurance, led by Nicholas Craig KC.
Rose obtained her BA in Jurisprudence (First Class) and Bachelor of Civil Law (Distinction) from the University of Oxford, winning University prizes in both and a College scholarship. She completed the Bar Vocational Studies course (Distinction) at City Law School, as a scholar of Lincoln’s Inn.
