Can Yeginsu to Join 3VB
Chambers is delighted to announce that Can Yeginsu will join 3VB as a tenant on 22nd February 2022.
Can is widely recognised as one of the leading juniors at the London Bar practising in commercial litigation, civil fraud, international arbitration, human rights, and public international law.
Highly ranked in his fields of practice by both Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, Can is described as, “A first-class advocate…in a class of his own”, “a ruthlessly effective cross examiner”, “he has the gravitas of a natural leader and possesses a giant intellect”.
Alongside his practice as Counsel, Can is increasingly sought after as an arbitrator, with Who’s Who Legal describing him as “very thorough and decisive”, and he also acts as an expert on English law and Public International Law in foreign court and arbitral proceedings. Can is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown University Law Center where he teaches investment treaty arbitration and at Columbia Law School where he teaches international human rights law. He is a member of the IBA’s Investment Arbitration Subcommittee and in November 2021 he was appointed by Lord Neuberger to succeed Amal Clooney as the Deputy Chair of the High Level Panel of Legal Experts on Media Freedom, alongside Catherine Amirfar.
3VB’s joint Heads of Chambers, Ewan McQuater QC and Adrian Beltrami QC, said, “We are extremely pleased to have Can join Chambers. He comes with a strong reputation and track record as an outstanding advocate and will significantly enhance our Chambers’ offering in commercial litigation, civil fraud, international arbitration, and public international law. We have every confidence that Can will continue to thrive at 3VB. Welcome, Can.”
Can Yeginsu said: “I am very excited to be joining so many talented friends and colleagues at 3VB, a first-class commercial set that I have long admired. I will, of course, remain forever grateful for the support and friendship of everyone at 4 New Square Chambers.”
