Catherine Drummond nominated for Advocate Bar Pro Bono Awards 2025

We are very pleased to announce that Catherine Drummond has been shortlisted in the category of ‘International Pro Bono Barrister of the Year’ for the 2025 Advocate Bar Pro Bono Awards.

Catherine’s international pro-bono work in the past year has involved representing a small island developing State in the landmark ICJ proceedings in relation to climate change, and addressing the complexities of the situation in Palestine in a series of cases focusing on international human rights, humanitarian law and the arms trade. She has a particular interest in facilitating access to international courts and tribunals for small States who may not otherwise have the means to participate in international cases concerning issues of considerable importance to them.

The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 6th May 2025 at Lincoln’s Inn. The awards are sponsored by LexisNexis.

Since 1997, the Bar Pro Bono Awards have been a unique opportunity in the legal calendar to celebrate the remarkable pro bono achievements of the Bar in England and Wales. The awards recognise those individuals and chambers who have gone above and beyond expectation when undertaking pro bono work to support access to justice.

Congratulations to all those shortlisted: Bar Pro Bono Awards
