David Head KC Appointed Joint Head of 3VB
Members of 3 Verulam Buildings are delighted to announce that David Head KC has been elected as joint Head of Chambers, following a unanimous vote of members at 3VB’s AGM on Tuesday 5th November 2024. David takes over from Ewan McQuater KC, who has served as joint Head of Chambers for more than 8 years, formerly alongside Ali Malek KC, Adrian Beltrami KC and with David Quest KC since 2022. David Quest KC remains joint Head of Chambers.
Members and staff wish to express their sincere gratitude to Ewan for the outstanding work he has done in steering Chambers through an unprecedented period of success since 2016. Ewan continues his full-time practice at 3VB.
David Head KC was called to the Bar in 1997 and took silk in 2016. He has built a reputation as a leading figure in commercial litigation. His practice covers a wide range of international and domestic disputes including those related to civil fraud, banking and finance, professional negligence and insolvency. David is currently instructed as Leading Counsel for the DWF defendants in the much-publicised SKAT litigation, a year-long trial in the Commercial Court.
Commenting on his appointment as joint Head of 3VB, David said “I am delighted and honoured to have been elected by my colleagues to contribute to the leadership of 3VB, a set I joined as a pupil in 1997. As a team, we will look to build upon 3VB’s hard-earned reputation for excellence and to continue to improve the service provided to our professional and lay clients. I am aware that I follow a long list of eminent Chambers leaders. I am particularly grateful to my immediate predecessor Ewan McQuater and his outstanding contribution to our ongoing success.”
