Emma Hughes Joins 3VB

Members of 3VB are pleased to announce that Emma Hughes has joined Chambers.

Called in 2018, Emma’s practice covers a diverse range of complex commercial disputes both in litigation and arbitration, including considerable experience of aviation disputes, civil fraud claims and company and insolvency law.

Emma is presently co-authoring (with Professor Chen-Wishart) a chapter on the law on restitution of unjust enrichment to be published by OUP in 2023.

Before coming to the Bar, Emma studied law at the University of Cambridge graduating third in her year and receiving university prizes for Constitutional Law, EU Law and Conflicts of Laws. Emma then read for the BCL at the University of Oxford where she was awarded a Distinction and the Peter Birks Restitution Law Prize. Emma subsequently taught Contract Law at St Hilda’s college (Oxford) and worked as a research assistant for Professor Chen-Wishart.
