International Court of Justice Advisory Opinion Proceedings conclude

Last week, the International Court of Justice concluded its public hearings on the request for an advisory opinion on the Obligations of States in respect of Climate Change. During the hearings, 96 States and 11 international organizations presented oral statements.

3VB’s Catherine Drummond appeared as counsel for Antigua and Barbuda, and Associate Member Callista Harris appeared as counsel for Australia.

The Court will now begin its deliberation and is expected to give its opinion in 2025.
