Professor Nayla Comair-Obeid Joins 3VB as Associate Member

Members of 3VB are delighted to welcome Nayla Comair-Obeid as an associate member.

Professor Comair-Obeid is the founding partner of Obeid Law Firm, one of the leading law firms in Lebanon and the Middle East, with its headquarters in Beirut. She is a distinguished international arbitrator with extensive experience in complex commercial and investment arbitration cases. She is also recognised as a leading business lawyer, specialising in international business law and Middle Eastern legislation.

Frequently retained as an expert on numerous aspects of complex Middle-Eastern law in foreign courts and arbitral proceedings, she is described by Who’s Who Legal as, “a renowned international arbitrator” with “a mastery of arbitration issues” as well as “excellent knowledge of the legal aspects, be it civil or common law”.

Professor Comair-Obeid is a member of, among others, the ICC Executive Board and the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA); Companion of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb); and former President of CIArb (2017); China’s International Commercial Expert Committee of the Supreme People’s Court, and is a Trustee of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration Board of Trustees (CRCICA). She is a member of both the Beirut Bar and Paris Bar, and fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
