Silks’ Day 2024 – Jane Davies Evans KC

The members and staff at 3VB extend their sincere congratulations to Jane Davies Evans KC, who has been sworn in as King’s Counsel today by the Lord Chancellor at a ceremony at Westminster Hall.

Called in 2001, Jane specialises in energy disputes, construction and international arbitration and commercial disputes, and is recognised as an international leader in her fields in the legal directories. Jane is appointed as lead counsel and arbitrator in international arbitrations primarily in the energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors, with a particular focus on work in the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, the Russian Federation and CIS and Latin America. Jane is also one of the founding members and vice-chair of 3VB’s International Advisory and Dispute Resolution Unit, regularly providing capacity building and pro bono/quasi pro bono assistance to State Attorneys and practitioners across Africa. Jane was the first chair of the Equal Representation in Arbitration Pledge Bar Subcommittee, she was a member of the task force who prepared the ICC Guide on Disability Inclusion in International Arbitration and is the current co-chair of the International Bar Association subcommittee on Innovation in International Construction Projects.

The award of King’s Counsel is for excellence in advocacy in the higher courts. It is made to advocates who have rights of audience in the higher courts of England and Wales and have demonstrated the competencies in the Competency Framework to a standard of excellence.
