Sir Ross Cranston Appointed to GDC’s Statutory Panellists Assurance Committee

3VB are pleased to announce that Sir Ross Cranston has been appointed to the General Dental Council’s Statutory Panellists Assurance Committee as the Committee Chair from January 2021.

The committee is responsible for overseeing the recruitment, development and discipline of the members of the Statutory Committees of the GDC, such as the Fitness to Practise and Registration Appeals panellists. Sir Ross has been appointed alongside Serbjit Kaur MBE, Carol Ashton and His Honour Phillip Sycamore.

Sir Ross sat as a High Court Judge and, as Judge in charge of the Administrative Court in 2016, he oversaw significant caseload delivery whilst improving performance. As Chair of the British and Irish Legal Information Institute (BAILLI) he oversaw the governance of the organisation and worked to improve the diversity of the Board. He is now currently a Professor of Law at the London School of Economics.
