Panama v. Italy is an inter-State public case concerning the seizure of a Panamanian vessel. Panama had filed an application with the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea in a dispute with Italy regarding the arrest and detention of the M/V Norstar, a Panamanian-flagged vessel.
