David Quest KC Appointed Joint Head of 3VB
Members of 3 Verulam Buildings are delighted to announce the appointment of David Quest KC as joint Head of Chambers, with effect from Wednesday 16th November 2022. David takes over from Adrian Beltrami KC, who has completed a term of six years as joint Head alongside Ewan McQuater KC. Members and staff wish to express their sincere gratitude to Adrian for the outstanding job he has done in taking forward Chambers strategy since 2016. Adrian continues his full time practice.
Chambers voted unanimously for David Quest KC to take up the role of joint-head of Chambers, with a period in office of 5 years.
David was called to the bar in 1993 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 2013. He is a leading silk with vast experience of complex, high-value litigation and arbitration. In 2021, David was named Banking Silk of the Year at the Chambers & Partners Bar Awards. He practises across the whole range of commercial disputes, with a focus on banking and finance; commercial and financial fraud; investments and joint ventures; international trade; technology and computing (including fintech, blockchain and cryptoassets); insurance and reinsurance; and professional negligence.
He lead authored the landmark UKJT Legal Statement on Crypto assets and Smart Contracts and Digital Dispute Resolution Rules.
Ewan and David will continue to lead 3VB’s strategy and governance, complemented by work of the Management Board and senior management team.
