David Quest QC to speak at Public Consultation on the draft set of Digital Dispute Resolution Rules

David Quest QC will be speaking at the UK Jurisdiction Taskforce’s Virtual Consultation on Friday 26th February at 3:30pm GMT.

This is an opportunity to hear directly from the drafting team of the new draft set of Digital Dispute Resolution Rules and to ask any questions that you may have on these new set of rules. The purpose of the Rules is to facilitate the rapid and cost-effective resolution of commercial disputes, particularly those involving novel technologies.

David and Lawrence Akka QC will be considering the following two questions:

• Whether there is a need for or advantage in a new arbitral process aimed at facilitating the rapid, informal and cost-effective resolution of disputes arising out of novel digital technologies?
• Whether the process described by the draft Rules meets that need?
