LIDW 2025: 3VB, Twenty Essex & Saadeh Rahman – Domestic Courts and State Immunity: A Golden Age?

3VB, Twenty Essex and Saadeh Raham are pleased to host a joint seminar on Friday 6 June as part of London International Disputes Week.
The seminar will focus on the recent explosion in the invocation of state immunity as a basis for depriving domestic courts (notably in the UK, but also in other jurisdictions) from exercising adjudicative and enforcement jurisdictions over foreign sovereigns.
Moderated by Cameron Miles at 3VB, the panel consists of Professor Philippa Webb (University of Oxford & Twenty Essex); Professor Chester Brown SC (University of Sydney & Essex Court Chambers); Jiries Saadeh (Saadeh Rahman) and Catherine Drummond (3VB).
The session will be held in-person and spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
