Join us for the London launch of International Law and the High Court of Australia, featuring a panel discussion with author Dr Christopher Ward SC (3VB), in conversation with Lord Lloyd-Jones (Supreme Court) , Professor Philippa Webb KC (Twenty Essex) and Dr Cameron Miles (3VB).
International Law and the High Court of Australia traces the High Court’s engagement with public international law from Federation to 2026. It examines key decisions in their constitutional context and explores areas including statutory interpretation and the common law, territory and maritime law, human rights, citizenship and immigration, criminal law, international trade, and diplomatic and sovereign immunities.
The book offers a detailed examination of the role and significance of public international law within Australia’s dualist legal system.
