Jane Davies Evans joins 3VB

3 Verulam Buildings is delighted to announce that Jane Davies Evans joins Chambers today, Monday 24 October, from Crown Office Chambers.  Jane is a renowned commercial barrister, specialising in energy disputes and construction, in which she is noted as a leader by the principal legal directories.

Jane returned to the Bar in 2014, having spent many years working for two of the world’s leading law firms, Shearman & Sterling LLP and, mostly recently,  Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, where she was counsel in the international arbitration practice.

Jane acts as counsel in international arbitrations and litigation, focusing on the energy sector and major infrastructure projects.   Jane has an extensive international practice, with a particular focus on disputes arising in the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, the Russian Federation and the Asia Pacific region.   A jointly qualified barrister and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, Jane worked for some years in the expert witness group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and is particularly skilled in the cross examination of expert witnesses, and advising on and arguing disputes involving complex issues of quantum.

Joint Head of 3VB, Ali Malek QC, said:  “Jane is very well known to a number of our members for her outstanding work in international arbitration, which is core to 3VB’s business. Her particular focus on energy and construction will be a tremendous boost to our existing work in these areas, which complements perfectly the rest of our practice.  This will be a great move both for Jane and for 3VB.”
