3VB host event for Mauritian Government

On Tuesday 22nd March, 3VB’s International Advisory and Dispute Resolution Unit (IADRU) in collaboration with the Eastern Africa Association were delighted to host a delegation of senior ministers from the Mauritian Government, who are responsible for developing the jurisdiction as a centre for finance and banking backed by a robust AML and dispute resolution regime.

The delegation are visiting London on a mission “to consolidate the position of Mauritius as the ideal platform for investing in Africa and emerging markets, and to enhance the visibility of Mauritius as an International Financial Centre of choice and substance”.

Attendees heard a series of talks from the ministers and from members of 3VB covering a range of topics, including reforms undertaken by the Government of Mauritius to combat money laundering and terrorism financing, International Arbitration and Financial Services at 3VB, and discussions surrounding the Mauritius International Financial Centre.
