Timothy Killen specialises in commercial disputes and arbitrations, both in the UK and overseas.Tim has extensive experience across a number of industry sectors, with particular strengths in insurance and reinsurance, financial services, building and construction, and energy. Much of Tim’s work is international in nature and many of his cases involve issues of jurisdiction and choice of law arising out of cross border litigation. He has a particularly good reputation in the Gulf Region, where he has experience of actions in the DIFC Courts in Dubai, the ADGM Courts in Abu Dhabi and arbitrations seated in, and relating to, GCC countries.
Matthew has a thriving commercial disputes practice. His experience spans banking and financial services, the sale of goods and commodities, insurance, company and insolvency litigation and civil fraud. He has acted in court and arbitral proceedings in the Middle East, the Channel Islands, Gibraltar, Singapore, Bermuda, the Bahamas and the British Virgin. Matthew is recommended as a leading junior specialising in litigation before common law courts and arbitral tribunals in the Middle East. He is one of the contributors to DIFC Court Practice and was part of the drafting team for the court rules in NEOM, a new Saudi Arabian free zone.
