3VB is the keynote sponsor of the Legal Business Financial Regulatory and Disputes Summit, taking place on Thursday 14 November 2024.
Catherine Gibaud KC will give the opening remarks at the conference at the QEII Centre in Westminster, London.
Saima Hanif KC will chair the panel at 11:40am – A Regulatory Roundtable: a review of PRA/FCA Enforcement Activity in 2024, recent Upper Tribunal and Court decisions, and future supervisory and enforcement trends.
Saima will be joined by Anthony Monaghan (director of retail and regulatory investigations at the FCA) and Miles Bake (head of legal, Bank of England) to discuss a number of recent decisions of the regulators, as well as key decisions of the Upper Tribunal and the Courts. The discussion will be followed by insights from both speakers as to the likely supervisory and enforcement trends for 2025.
Catherine Gibaud KC will also be joining a panel at 2:30pm – Financial markets disputes: a horizon scan, looking at what’s next following the wave of banking and finance and related disputes precipitated by the global financial crisis a decade and a half ago. Catherine will be speaking alongside two partners from Travers Smith, John Lee and Joseph Wren, and Alex Tinawi, an expert from Alvarez & Marsal.
