3VB Welcomes ILFA Lawyers

For the fifth year running, 3VB has hosted a series of seminars for African lawyers seconded to City law firms under the International Lawyers for Africa programme (ILFA). Presented by members of COMBAR, which co-sponsors ILFA, the seminars covered Insolvency, Arbitration and Islamic Finance. The lawyers on this year’s programme came from 15 different African countries and are all established commercial practitioners in their home jurisdictions. A number of ILFA lawyers also undertook placements with barristers in COMBAR sets. On behalf of 3VB, David Simpson hosted Kenyan lawyer Fatma Ndung’u who practises in-house at Equity Bank (Kenya) Limited and specialises in commercial law and Islamic banking.
