The High Court’s decision in Standard Chartered Plc v Guaranty Nominees Limited [2024] EWHC 2605 (Comm) set a precedent for handling tough legacy contracts post-LIBOR. The court implied a term to replace discontinued LIBOR with a widely used alternative rate.
