Legal 500 Bar Awards: 3VB win 5
Members and staff at 3VB had a successful and enjoyable evening at The Legal 500 Bar Awards last night, which saw 3VB win the following five awards:
- International Arbitration Set of the Year
- Commercial Litigation Silk of the Year – Ali Malek KC
- Financial Services and Insurance Junior of the Year – Peter Ratcliffe
- Pupils Team of the Year
- Clerking Team of the Year
The awards are determined based on The Legal 500’s market-leading independent research for the annual directory.
The Legal 500 UK Bar Guide 2023, released last week, says 3VB has, “a strong deck of counsel for arbitration and arbitration-related court proceedings, both at the silk and junior level”, having made impressive inroads into the International Arbitration market having recruited well, particularly at the junior end, in recent years.
In the Commercial Litigation rankings, Tier 1 Silk Ali Malek KC is described in the directory as, “A heavyweight. Ali talks and judges listen”.
3VB is hailed as, “A great choice for work on the cross-over of insolvency and financial services”, and Tier 1 Junior Peter Ratcliffe is described as, “Extremely thorough, clever, balanced and well prepared”.
